Solano Community College - DRAFT45 Introduction To AutoCAD

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course is designed to develop introductory AutoCAD skills.

REQUIRED SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE

Students are required to have access to AutoCAD software. Student versions are available at various online websites that specialize in student software, or at the Solano College Bookstore. The cost of student software is around $149 for a one-year license or $349 for a lifetime license. (It is worth noting that many students in traditional, face-to-face, classes purchase the software to enhance learning)

Most examples and presentations will be given using AutoCAD 2006/7. However I will accept assignments from versions 2002 or later.

You must have access to the internet. A high speed connection will be helpful but not required.

Computer speakers are required (inexpensive ones will work fine).
